Serenity, Volume 4

The follow-up to the movie. Everyone now knows what the Alliance has done, and Mal and his crew are force to come out of hiding to rescue one of their own and uncover more secrets.
I wanted to like this more than I did. A lot has changed in the lives of the crew, so it’s reasonable that everyone has changed, but some of the dialogue and character expressions just didn’t seem to fit as well as it could have. The art style added to some of the disconnect for me too, with some of the characters being indistinguishable from one another at times. The break art by Dan Dos Santos, however, was incredible. Overall I enjoyed this, but not my favorite in the series so far.
