Green Wake, Volume 1
by Kurtis Wiebe and Riley Rossmo
After a string of murders begins and a stranger arrives in Green Wake, Morley works to track down the woman he believes is responsible.
This was interesting, and the art was cool, but honestly I found this so confusing. I wasn’t really invested in it until about halfway through, when the story had finally built up to revealing the themes of guilt and grief. After that point, I wavered a bit between enjoying it and being confused. I like the characters of Morley and Krieger and seeing them work together to figure out a bit of what was going on in the strange world of Green Wake, but it was a bit too strange in a way that wasn’t for me. While I did like this in the end, I don’t plan on reading the second volume.
