Most Read Authors of 2021

I was taking a look at all the books I read this year, and I noticed there were a few authors’ names listed quite a bit more than others. So I wanted to share with you the authors I read the most this year.

Three of them are Fantasy/Sci-Fi authors, but beyond that, their books are quite different from one another, in my opinion. The fourth author (at least the books I read) writes YA contemporary. I like them all, clearly, so here they are, from least read to most read, my most read authors of 2021:

After reading The Hobbit last year, I finally got around to reading The Lord of the Rings this year, making J.R.R. Tolkien one of my most read authors this year. Although my particular copy is a bind-up of all three books, so I suppose technically I only read one Tolkien book, but actually I read three.

The Fellowship of the Ring
The Two Towers
The Return of the King

Also with three books, but this time all bound separately, is Maureen Johnson.

The Bermudez Triangle
13 Little Blue Envelopes
The Last Little Blue Envelope

In October, I dedicated some time to reading all the graphic novels I had amassed by Kurtis J. Wiebe, making him my second most read author of the year. All of the books I had were from different series, so there was a nice variety of stories.

Peter Panzerfaust
Green Wake
Grim Leaper

And my most read author of 2021 is Martha Wells. I started reading the Murderbot Diaries during the summer, and quickly made my way through all the books, the newest of which came out this year.

All Systems Red
Artificial Condition
Rogue Protocol
Exit Strategy
Network Effect
Fugitive Telemetry

Are there any authors you find yourself reading repeatedly?
