I love landscape paintings. Beautiful scenery captured in paint is something so captivating to me. But, it’s also not something I’ve spent much time painting myself. So, a few years ago I decided to try my hand at some forest scenery. I liked the paintings I made, but they were far from perfect.
More recently, I decided to revisit those paintings. I added details, corrected colors, and cleaned up lines. While I still don’t think I’m particularly talented in landscapes, I do think I made great improvements. You can use the sliders on the pictures below to compare the original paintings with their revised versions. Hopefully you’ll agree that they’re an improvement.
I still love nature paintings, and I’m proud of the progress I’ve made, but I think I’m much more suited to other painting subjects. That won’t stop me from continuing to try and improve though.
