Although books can be enjoyed almost anywhere, I think we all develop our own favorite locations to enjoy a story. Whether you love to lounge in the hammock you set up in the perfect amount of shade or take advantage of that public transportation commute to squeeze some extra reading into a busy day, you probably have a favorite spot to escape into a book. These are my favorite places to read:

I do most of my reading on the couch. It’s just comfortable enough that I can lounge and bundle up if it’s a bit cold, but not so comfortable that I’m going to fall asleep before I finish the page. At least for me, other people have no trouble taking a nap on the sofa.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a private outdoor space and, even if you are, sometimes it’s nice to get a change of scenery. I love taking a little walk in the park to find a nice place to relax with a book while getting a bit of fresh air.
It may not be the most comfortable place to read, but the library is still a great place to read. You’re surrounded by books, and other people who are interested in books. It’s quiet, and it’s a great environment for staying focused.
Even though I grew up on the coast, my love for the beach has dwindled over time. Still, I can’t deny how relaxing it is to grab a seat by the water, stick your toes in the sand, and read a book. Just don’t forget the sunscreen.
Probably my favorite place to read is in bed. It’s comfy, it’s relaxing, and reading a book is the best way to end a day. It can be a risk though. Sometimes it’s too comfy and you fall asleep before you hit your reading goal for the day. I’ve made a habit of losing my page this way.
