Top Five Books with Swords

Some of these may technically be daggers, but they’re all definitely sharp, bladed weapons. I once fell down a research rabbit hole of admiring the many different sword designs that exist while writing. And there are even more designs that exist to be admired on the covers of books. Here are five books with swords on the cover:

Top 5 Tuesday is hosted by Meeghan Reads

Malice
by John Gwynne

The focus of this cover is a sword, with an apparent battle scene behind.

Kagen the Damned
Jonathan Maberry

A bloodied blade surrounded by flowers.

Graceling
by Kristin Cashore

A very shiny blade reflecting who I would assume to be its owner.

The Vagrant
by Peter Newman

A stroll through the city with his baby and his sword.

Half a King
by Joe Abercrombie

This one has two swords in this almost-symmetrical design.

What’s your favorite sword-displaying cover?
