The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans

The Christmas Box
The Christmas Box, book 1
by Richard Paul Evans

A young couple moves in with a widow, where they learn a valuable lesson.

Sweet and sentimental, this story for me was just okay. It’s a bit too direct in its message for my taste, although it does present a good message. A young couple moves in with a widow in exchange for helping her out and mostly keeping her company. They find some of her personal things within the house where they learn a bit more about her life.

The moral of the story is appreciating the time you have with your children when they are young, because you never really know how much time you have left with them. With all the high praises for this story in the marketing, it didn’t hit as hard as I would have expected. It’s certainly not a bad story, but it’s not a new holiday favorite for me.
