The Somerville sisters return home for their parents’ vow renewal. Reggie reunites with her first love while single, pregnant Dena gets to know the songwriter staying at her inn.

As a dual romance, this is a longer read, taking time to flesh out four main characters who all have their own major things going on, as well as the two romance storylines and the preparations for the vow renewal. I think this was too long, adding some perspectives from the love interests that I could have lived without, and it felt longer because I was much more interested in Dena’s half of the story than Reggie’s.

For a group of 30-somethings, most of the will-they-won’t-they stems from a lot of immaturity. The men keep sending mixed signals rather than talking to the women, and the women continuously tell the men how the men are feeling rather than listening when they finally do talk about their feelings. It’s a lot of miscommunication.

Overall, this was a pretty good read, but I wish it had been shorter.
