With the new year, a lot of people like to set resolutions to live a better life. Although I do like setting some goals for myself to work toward in the new year, I never set traditional resolutions. So instead, I thought I’d talk about some books based on common resolutions in the form of this tag.
Original tag by Lynn’s Books
Exercise more : This is a book that is a real chunkster, in fact you will need help to even pick this book up

With over 1100 pages, A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin is the biggest book I’m planning to pick up soon
Lose weight : A book that is not a chunkster; a short story or novella. A book you could probably read in one sitting

A Psalm for the Wild-Built
by Becky Chambers
This novella is an easy read that could be read in one sitting if you have the time
Eat healthy : A book that is good for you. This is a book that made you feel so happy that you wanted to give it a big hug

The Tea Dragon Society
by Katie O’Neill
Short and adorable, with the cutest little dragons. I wish I could pull one out of the pages and give it a big hug
Fulfill your ambitions : A book that has a lot going on. Plenty of different threads, points of views and action but everything eventually comes together in a very satisfactory fashion

The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan has a lot of perspectives and plotlines that all come together by the end, but it’s really the Wheel of Time series as a whole that has a ton of things going on that all intertwine to create an extensive story.
Spend more time with the family : A series of books that you love and that has developed more than you ever anticipated

I loved Nevermoor by Jessica Townsend far more than I expected to and I’m looking forward to wherever the fourth book will take us when it releases this year
Tick off an item from your bucket list : Reduce the tbr. Choose a book from Mount TBR that you would like to read this year

I’m trying to read all of them this year, but one I’m most looking forward to is The Chronicles of the Black Company by Glen Cook
Save money : A book that was an absolute bargain – you would have to be crazy in fact not to have bought this book

I have a collection of Grimm’s Fairy Tales that I found in the used book section of a local bookstore. I forget how much it was, but it was super cheap and still looked new
Get organized : A book with a glossary, maps, useful words, lists of people – this book is one helpful book, it wants you to know ALL the things and it’s not afraid to use footnotes and other devices to help you do so

The Lord of the Rings
by J.R.R. Tolkien
Although the number of extras can vary from one edition to the next, I have the trilogy in a single volume that contains a lot of appendices
Start a new hobby : A book that is outside your comfort zone. Perhaps everyone was raving about this book, maybe it was over-hyped, you hesitated to pick it up in fact, but when you did – you loved it

The Alchemist
by Paulo Coelho
This isn’t normally the type of story I would be eagerly anticipating, but I’m so glad I gave this book a chance because I loved it

This is a fun tag! The Tea Dragon Society looks like such a cute book.
