Sunday Synopsis

Last week we had another snow storm and it’s rather white and chilly out there now.

I had some old wine glasses and terrariums that I wanted to put some plants in, but I haven’t had the best luck taking care of succulents and other tiny plants. Plus the room they were going to be in tends to be on the cold side, which isn’t ideal for most plants. So I opted for origami plants instead and I think they look so cute. Adroable terrariums that I don’t have to worry about.

Last Week I Finished Reading

The Bear and the Nightingale
Winternight Trilogy, book 1
by Katherine Arden

A beautifully written debut. This winter fantasy mixes history and folklore and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series

Swordheart
by T. Kingfisher

Set in the world of the Clocktaur Wars. This one is a bit more romance leaning than I generally prefer, but I still loved the writing and the rest of the plot

The Lost World
Jurassic Park, book 2
by Michael Crichton

Ian Malcolm’s return at another dinosaur inhabited island. Glad to have finally read this series

Currently Reading

Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames
The Sapphire Altar by David Dalglish
The Tea Dragon Festival by Katie O’Neill
