Death smiled down upon us

But even his face did pale
When he saw what he had done
The number there surprised him
This had to be all wrong
He’d been counting all night
But his streak was finally gone
His debts were nearly settled
With everyone he owed
Until that card was upturned
His fate was all it showed

There’s always something you can’t see
And never doubt the house
They’ll surely throw you out
So he laid his cards down slowly
Knowing what came next
Then they gathered up the pot
