I’m sorry.
Not for leaving, but for the way I left.
No goodbye, no explanation, no closure.
I hope you found some.
I did.
Being together was not always pleasant.
We grew together, tangled undeniably.
We grew apart, irreparably.
No amount of explaining would have changed that.
I’ve replaced you with someone else. Sometimes with myself.
I might replace them too some day. Only time will tell.
Our time helped bring me to where I am now.
So I wanted to say thank you.
For walking my path with me, if only for a short while.
For being a part of my journey.
For letting me be a part of yours.
